The boys have been invited to play in a tournament in Sweden and we're trying to raise as much as we can to get them there. As we're in Scotland the weather prevents lots of things ie:car wash, rummage sale etc.
Congrats to that awesome opportunity. In my experience selling candy bars works really well. I am sure there are companies in Scotland that have fund raising deals like here in the States. They don't cost that much, kids can go door to door (with a parent or older kid if they are young) and people will buy one or more and you get the money right away. You can do it more than once, too, and some local businesses might be willing to put the candy on the counter at their store and sell them for you that way.
This worked really well for my kids ball teams (soft ball, baseball) years ago and more recently, my granddaughter's competitive cheer team. You'd probably have to have some other kind of fund raiser, too. A rummage sale maybe at the school or local church? Raffling off a gift basket was a good idea, too. That works really well at my younger granddaughter's school for their big spring fundraiser.
