Hi in what year did the US Navy start using Marine Drill Instructors in navy boot camp & why?
Hi I could be wrong. I remember watching the movie "Men with Honor" when De Nero played as a Navy Drill Instructor in WW2 & now I see Marines Drill Instructors training enlisted sailors in boot camp & naval academy. If the US Navy did replace a Navy D.I. to a Jarhead D.I., why? And what year they did that? Thanks.
