Padgett is a family surname but it would be used as a middle name.
I like the name Claiborne, but the nickname "Claib" seems really odd. Maybe "Clay" instead? And also, is Padgett a last name or middle name? If it's a last name then it sounds okay, but if it's a middle name I think it's awful. Sorry to say, but I'm just giving my opinion.
