SwinomishHUDSON BLUES BAND starflash1.gif (2765 bytes)

The Hudson Blues Band is a four-piece, Chicago-Texas-style blues band. The band consists of vocals, harmonica, guitar, bass and drums in the classic Chicago tradition.

Founded in 1992,The Hudson Blues Band evolved from weekly jam sessions hosted by drummer David Hudson. The band has since become established in the Seattle nightclub circuit and has produced it's first recording, "Now Appearing At..." on which the original track "Mr. Clean" can be found. Currently, they are developing new original material and new arrangements for a second effort due to be recorded later this year.

Biographical Information

MICHAEL WILDE
Vocalist, harmonica player and all-around funky front man, Michael is a veteran of the New York, Chicago and Los Angeles music scenes. He wasn't born with the last name of Wilde, he earned it! He's an outstanding showman whose harp playing and vocal styling are sure to get folks movin' and groovin'.

GREG SMITH
Greg developed his fiery guitar slingin' style while growing up in Southern California. He's a fast talkin', slow walkin' guitar desperado. Greg's rhythm playing and stinging leads (1966 Fender Jazzmaster/1964 Gibson ES345) are another great focal point of the band.

DAVID HUDSON
David's drum career began in Las Vegas. He has been drumming for about 15 years and loves to play blues shuffles. David has a growing collection of drum kits including: a Pearl Masters Custom 4 piece in Emerald Green, a 1978 Pearl wood/fiberglass 5 piece in Cobalt Blue and a 1957 WFL 4 piece in Black Diamond Pearl. His influences are Fran Christina from the "T-Birds", George Rains of Jimmie Vaughan's band, Fred Below  "Little Walter's" band, Al Jackson Jr. "the MG's" and Al Green.

GUY QUINTINO
A veteran of the Seattle music scene, Guy has been playing bass for most of his life. His solid grooves and musical talent help add the rhythm to our blues. Very serious about his music, Guy is a consummate professional who has studied many of the blues masters. Originally from California, he's been playing bass professionally for more than 20 years.
